Spiritual life is the cornerstone characteristic of Future Men. We are committed to introducing every student to Jesus Christ to help them find their gifting and destiny in Christ. Many teens who attend have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed faith in Christ, and FM offers a safe place for them to take ownership of their faithas they may never have done before. Bible study, worship, and prayer surround everything we do at Future Men.
Future Men exclusively works with troubled or troubled boys. Beyond helping capable students get back on track academically, we present specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each student. We teach teens to serve and love each other. Mission trips and community service projects give real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at FM.
Future Men is a fully accredited high school that operates under a program of independent study with personalized instruction. Students work through courses at their own speed, with weekly objectives established by teaching staff based on the student’s program of study. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. FM also supports students to prepare for post-secondary goals by helping them prep for SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
FM knows that teenagers and their parents today face enormous pressure from the culture. Teens are assaulted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The FM model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that young people can develop self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they devote themselves to the positive values of helping and caring for others.
Outdoor activities at FM are designed to contribute to leadership development and character growth as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every student is encouraged to try adventure activities because of the important values that can be learned.
