Students work through courses at their own speed, with weekly objectives set by tutors based on the student’s chosen course work. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. FM also encourages students to work toward post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
FM knows that teenagers and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The FM model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which believes that young people can develop self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they embrace the positive values of helping and caring for others.
Outdoor activities at FM are designed to contribute to leadership development and character maturation as part of a teenager’s development as a whole person. Every student is asked to play adventure activities because of the valuable life skills that can be learned.
