Christian Discipleship
Spiritual life is the cornerstone component of Future Men. We are dedicated to introducing every student to Jesus Christ to help them find their gifting and purpose in Christ. Many teenagers who come have rebelled against their spiritual heritage or have never professed faith in Christ, and FM offers an open environment for them to take ownership of their faithas they may never have done before. Bible study, worship, and prayer frame everything we do at Future Men.
Leadership Training
Future Men exclusively works with troubled or troubled boys. Besides helping capable students learn to apply themselves academically, we provide specific leadership training to unleash the potential in each teenager. We teach teens to serve and love other people. Mission trips and community service projects give real life experience and application of the leadership principles learned at FM.
Academics
Future Men is a fully accredited high school that employs a program of independent study with tutelage. Students complete courses at their own pace, with weekly goals established by tutors based on the student’s program of study. Courses are offered for all levels, up to Honors and AP classes. FM also encourages students to work toward post-secondary goals by offering assistance with SAT and ACT testing and college applications.
Positive Culture
FM recognizes that teens and their parents today face huge challenges from the culture. Teens are impacted by a barrage of negative peer pressure. The FM model for change is called Positive Peer Culture (PPC), which asserts that teens can learn self-worth, significance, dignity, and responsibility only as they devote themselves to the positive values of helping and caring for others.
Outdoor Activities
Outdoor activities at FM are designed to contribute to leadership development and character maturation as part of a holistic approach to development. Every student is asked to play adventure activities because of the important values that can be learned.
