A fit guide for parents
Is Future Men right for my son?
Future Men is where struggling boys learn to take ownership and become men. Here is who it is built for, when a different kind of help should come first, and how to know if it is right for your son.

Often a strong fit
Future Men is often a good fit when your son
- Is 14 to 20 years old
- Is defiant, disrespectful, unmotivated or drifting
- Is failing or far behind in school
- Is running with the wrong friends or experimenting with substances
- Is caught in pornography, gaming or screen addiction
- Lacks a consistent, strong male role model
- Needs hard work, clear expectations and a real trade
- Comes from a family that wants him discipled by Christian men
When other help should come first
Another kind of program may be the right first step when
- He needs licensed therapy or psychiatric care as the core of his help
- He needs medical detox or hospital care
- He is in immediate danger of harming himself or others
- Your family is looking for a secular or non-religious program
Future Men is Christian mentoring and discipleship. We do not provide licensed therapy or psychiatric care. Not every mental-health need can be safely served here. If your son is in crisis right now, call or text 988, or call 911.
How the decision is made
Every situation is reviewed individually.
No checklist decides for you. Admissions looks at your son’s whole story, including his school history, any legal history and any health or mental-health needs, and talks it through with you.
Together, you and admissions decide whether Future Men is the right place for your son or whether another kind of help should come first. Start with the online application whenever is convenient for you, and admissions calls you within 24 hours, including weekends and holidays.
